Hello, I'm Rosalyn Smith, I go by Roz. Welcome to my Notary Blog! As a lifelong learner, I like to read, learn new skills, and inspire others. As a fairly new entrepreneur, I will share my experience as a Notary Public and various other Notary topics and interests.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Of course, I have to tell you what high school I went to as it's a St. Louis thing. I went to University City High School. I didn't go away too far to college, I went over the bridge to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE). I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and then decided to go straight to graduate school at Webster University. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Management. I am a Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resources (SHRM).
I worked for Enterprise Holdings for 23 years in Human Resources (HR). I received my first Notary commission in 1998 and became an in-house Notary for six years. (I don't know why I didn't turn this into a side hustle during this time.) In November 2021, I decided to take a leap of faith and resign my position to start a Notary business and renew my Notary Public commission. I also started an HR Consultant business.
As a Notary Public and Notary Signing Agent, I am certified, trained, and background screened with the National Notary Association. I serve St. Louis County and City helping people with notary services for all types of documents.
As a Notary Public and HR Professional, I know the importance of acting responsibly, exercising reasonable care, and complying with all pertinent laws. My goal is to deliver great customer service and operate in a professional manner. I am committed to providing all clients with quality, professional service for all notarized documents and services needed.

Being a Notary is rewarding! I cannot tell you the number of times clients told me that they were unaware Notaries travel to homes, offices, or public locations. There is a travel fee that we include in our services that we agree upon when discussing the details of your notary appointment.
Take a few minutes now to save my contact information because sooner or later you will need a Notary. Saving me as "Local Notary" in your phone Contacts will save you the hassle of calling around or Googling trying to find one later.
